AYF concluded “The Age of Social Innovators 2.0” in RTHK CIBS

Youth is an important force in the development of Hong Kong society and the future’s mainstay. At the same time, they face the ever-changing needs of society.

Whether in poverty alleviation, elderly care, youth development, or education, there are dedicated individuals and organizations willing to think outside the box and focus on innovation. This edition of “The Age of Social Innovators 2.0” aims to explore various topics and help everyone understand the power of social innovation through local sharing and international examples.

The Asia-Pacific Youth Development Fund (AYF) is honoured to host RTHK’s Community Involvement Broadcasting Service (CIBS) again, producing the “The Age of Social Innovators 2.0. This series will consist of 13 episodes featuring different guests discussing various topics such as “Education and Social Mobility,” “Digital Transformation,” “Gender Equality and Women’s Leadership,” “The Evolution of ESG and CSR,” and “Mental Health of Ethnic Minorities in Hong Kong.”

In recent years, CSR and ESG have become popular search terms. Simply put, CSR focuses on corporate social responsibility, while ESG encompasses three major areas: environmental protection, social responsibility, and corporate governance. To discuss this, we have invited Joyce Leung, Assistant Vice President of Promotion Strategy and Communications at DBS Bank (Hong Kong), who has experience working in social enterprises, to share insights on collaboration with businesses.

In this edition of “The Age of Social Innovators 2.0” we not only focus on social innovation issues in Hong Kong but also encourage youth to actively participate in social development. With diverse topics and rich content, we have arranged for various university and DSE graduates to take part in hosting, providing opportunities for learning and exchange to inspire more individuals to engage in the practice of social innovation.

We hope to see more initiatives like this in the future, injecting new vitality into Hong Kong’s social development.
