Hidden Gems of Youth: Unveiling the Future

Gratia Christian College, in partnership with the Asia Pacific Youth Development Foundation (AYF), recently organised the “Hidden Gems of Youth” exhibition, attracting over 80 attendees. This event highlighted preliminary research on the future trajectories of young people who have experienced life in residential homes or children’s shelters.

The exhibition featured immersive interactive scenes—such as a “Social Worker Room,” “Self-Study Room,” and “Isolation Room”—that transported visitors into the realities faced by these young individuals. Through their voices and artistic expressions, attendees gained valuable insights into the struggles and hopes inherent in their journeys.

This initiative aims to raise awareness about the challenges these young people face while promoting critical discussions on social issues related to youth care.

Additionally, today’s event featured the initial research sharing on the survey regarding the opinions of youths after leaving residential care and the development of related services.

Together, we can create a more supportive and understanding environment for future generations.
