The Future Impact Leaders Programme 2023, organized by the Asia Pacific Youth Development Foundation (AYF) and Future City Vision (FCV), recently concluded its successful overseas visits in Singapore and Malaysia. The program aimed to empower regional youth through immersive experiences, fostering mutual learning, and collaborations.
As part of the programme, a post-event youth dialogue was held in the Mills on 15 December, gathering around 30 guests from academic, NGOs and the social impact sector in addition to the participants. The dialogue focused on social entrepreneurship journeys, common struggles, and a shared vision for the betterment of our community.
During the dialogue, our co-founder, Wilson Wong, facilitated the session along with the invited guests Bonnie Cheung, a community worker who works to bridge the opportunity gap for students from low-income families; Un Wa Lok, the President and Director General of the Language Exchange and Culture Promotion Association (LECPA) in Macau, and two of our young delegates, Charlton and Zoe.
Participants expressed that the program expanded their horizons, and connected with social impact practitioners in the region and attained new insights. Our co-founder and program-in-charge, Dan Cheung, also recapped the key learnings of the program and shared the vision for the future of fostering further regional youth exchange.
By sharing experiences, challenges, and visions, young leaders were able to enhance their knowledge, broaden their perspectives, and strengthen their commitment to social impact initiatives. The dialogue promoted networking among like-minded individuals and fostered a supportive ecosystem for youth-led projects and organisations.
This dialogue reaffirmed the power of young leaders in driving positive change and highlighted the importance of nurturing their talents and aspirations for a brighter future.
